Dr. Holly Zwicker, MD CCFP
Dr. Zwicker grew up on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. After completing her medical studies and residency at Dalhousie University, she returned to practice in her home community. Her medical interests include preventive medicine, healthy living, palliative care, and care of the elderly. She has a teaching appointment with Dalhousie University, Department of Family Medicine, and has been a clinical teacher for twenty years, helping to train the next generation of physicians.
Dr. Shauna Herman
Dr. Herman started her career as an Occupational Therapist before returning to school to complete her family medicine degree with Dalhousie University. She also has a teaching appointment through Dalhousie Faculty of Medicine where she helps to educate our next generation of healthcare professionals. She enjoys living and working as a family physician in the Tantallon community.
Dr. Jill Robertson
Dr. Jill Robertson attended Dalhousie University for Medical School and Family Medicine residency. She joined Crossroads Family Practice in 2010. She has a special interest in children’s and women’s health as well as preventative medicine.
Dr. Laci Williams
Dr. Laci Williams completed her medical school and family medicine residency training at Dalhousie University. She joined Crossroads Family Practice in 2013 and has also worked at the Halifax Sexual Health Clinic since 2010. She has a special clinical interest in transgender/non-binary health, sexual health and minor procedures (IUD insertions, joint injections, birth control implant insertions, etc.) She is involved in teaching future physicians through Dalhousie Medical School and the Dalhousie Department of Family Medicine.
Dr. Robyn Langelaan
Dr. Robyn Langelaan completed medical school at Dalhousie University and completed her family medicine residency training at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. She practiced medicine in Ontario for a few years before happily returning to the east coast with her family in 2016. Dr. Langelaan joined the Crossroads Family Practice team in 2017.
Dr. Jennifer O’Connell
Dr. Jennifer O’Connell started Medical School at the University of Ottawa and then transferred back to Dalhousie University as she missed the East coast too much. She completed her Family Medicine training at Dalhousie University. Dr. O’Connell joined Crossroads Family Practice in April 2010. Her main interests are women and children’s health, preventative care and healthy living.
Dr. Rachel Doucette
Dr. Rachel Doucette graduated from Dalhousie Medical School in 2015 and completed Family Medicine residency in Moncton, New Brunswick. She joined the Crossroads Family Practice team shortly thereafter. Her medical interests include adolescent health, weight management, health promotion and low risk obstetrics. Dr. Doucette has a faculty appointment at Dalhousie Medical School teaching medical students and residents.
Dr. Koleen Jensen
Dr. Koleen Jensen graduated from Dalhousie Medical School and completed her Family Medicine Residency at Dalhousie University. Her professional interests include comprehensive Family Medicine, particularly palliative care, care of the elderly, prenatal care and management of chronic pain. Dr. Jensen regularly teaches medical students and residents and has faculty appointments with both Dalhousie and Memorial Universities.
Dr. Melissa Wallace
Dr. Melissa Wallace joined the Crossroads Family Practice team in 2019. She graduated from medical school at Dalhousie University and completed her Family Medicine residency training at Western University in Ontario. She provides comprehensive care to her patients and has special interests in chronic disease management, health promotion and contraceptive counselling.
Dr. Kristen Dunn
Dr. Kristen Dunn is the newest member of the Crossroads Family Practice team. She completed her medical school and residency training at Dalhousie University. She has a teaching appointment through Dalhousie Faculty of Medicine where she helps to educate our next generation of physicians. She provides care for all ages from infant to seniors, including preventative care and minor procedures.
Lori Bates, RN
Crossroads Family Practice is very fortunate to be able to offer the nursing services of registered nurse, Lori Bates. She has been working with Crossroads Family Practice since 2010 and her kindness is well known to our patients. She provides care in all aspects of family medicine including women’s health, infant and child development, diabetes care and vaccinations just to name a few. Nurse Lori is a valuable member of your healthcare team!
Tasha Terry, RN
Tasha Terry is a registered family practice nurse who joined Crossroads Family Practice in 2018 and we are so happy to have her as part of our team! Our nurses work collaboratively with the doctors to provide care in all aspects of family medicine including women’s health, infant and child development, vaccinations, wound care, just to name a few. Nurse Tasha is a valuable member of your healthcare team!

Our administrative team, headed by Jennifer MacIsaac, office manager, is comprised of various members of the local and surrounding communities. Our experienced and knowledgeable team will do their utmost to provide our patients with the service or information they are seeking.
